Mobile Application Enquiry

Hi,

I've found guides on creating a mobile application but everything is on 1 computer.

What i'd like to do is to seperate into 3 parts for added security.

One is used to store the Database.

One is used as an IIS Server (Web Server).

One is used as a Deployment Server.

Is there a step-by-step guide to this setup?

Though there is no step-by-step guide separately for multi-machine or multi-box scenario the same step-by-step guide @. http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnppcgen/html/med302_msdn_sql_mobile.asp can be taken for configuring the merge replication. Please note that you can not use the default anonymous account with IIS in multi-box mode as default anonymous account in IIS is IUSR_MachineName which is a local user and is not understandable by other boxes in the infrastructure.

Thanks,

Thx.
Its a good guide but still there are certain areas which i'm not sure where i should be working on for the split server configuration. Might i suggest for a guide to be done?

Also is there a step-by-step guide for Data Retrieval on Smartphones using Visual Basic.NET?

Thanks again.

May be this thread @. http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=213973&SiteID=1 can help you!

mmc.exe Error - Please HELP

I had SQL Server Personal edition on my Windows XP
Professional client computer and something happened
yesterday when the network people push down Antivirus
update. Now when I try to connect other SQL Servers on the
network, it takes too long and I keep hearing raddling
disk noise.
I have the following error messages on my Event viewer:
Hanging application mmc.exe, version 5.1.2600.0, hang
module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.
also
Hanging application isqlw.exe, version 2000.80.194.0, hang
module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.
Is there anyone else has experienced this.
Thanks for any feedback.I'd run a ScanDisk ... peculiar noises from any disks are usually not good.

MMC SQL Server

Hello all,
I know this may be a basic question, and that the short answer is probably
"Yes"; but the File menu on the Computer Management console doesn't have an
Add or Remove Snap In choice. When I run MMC (from the run command), I get
a new/blank console, the Add or Remove Snap In choice is there, but there
are no snap-ins shown to choose from.
What I want is to manage sql servers on my network from the Computer
Management Console.
Can someone please help me do this?
TIA
Jake
Hi
Have you installed the client tools? The msc files should be in the
tools\binn directory!
Client tools are not available with MSDE!!!!

Yet if I pull up sql server under Computer Management it does and allows me
to configure it.
